On February 13th, we paired up with the Floyd County Farm Bureau to host a seminar on transitioning the farm from one generation to the next. We hosted students from Clarkesville, North Butler, Charles City, Osage, and Central Springs. This was a great event and we can’t wait to host more in the future to expand on more topics.

On February 19th, Rockford FFA hosted the Subdistrict CDE competition at our school. We organized all of the rooms, judges, and event materials. It was a great day! Members Grace Muller and McKenzie Ginther represented our chapter in CDE events. Grace Muller participated and earned a silver in the Ag Broadcasting event and McKenzie Ginther participated and earned a bronze in the Public Speaking event. Many members helped others find their competition rooms, served food, and checked students in. The Eastern Region National Vice-President Morgan Anderson visited during the Subdistrict events and gave a speech about doing your best. She was very impressed with our students and could not say enough about how helpful and knowledgeable they were. A great way to represent our district!
