FFA members serving up the meal at our Alumni Supper

Alumni Supper

The Rockford FFA Chapter has been busy since our last newsletter. First, we held the Alumni Supper for past Rockford FFA members and anyone who has supported us. We had a meal that consisted of spaghetti or Alfredo, a bread stick, salad, milk or water, and cake. The officers served the meal. We also celebrated Amber Reams who was awarded with her American degree. This is the highest degree an FFA member can get. Less than 1% of all FFA members achieve this award. Great job Amber! The officers also gave a presentation to the guests about what they have done this past year.

Fruit Sales

Fruit sales came in the first week of December! The officers sorted through the fruit and organized it for pick up. The Rockford FFA members sold just over $21,000 worth of fruit, meat, cheese, and sweet treats! 9 members will be inducted into the $1,000 club for selling $1,000 or more. We are so thankful for all of our supporters that ordered or made donations! Please enjoy your goodies!

Thanksgiving Food Drive

The Rockford FFA Thanksgiving food drive lasted from November 6th-21st. Students and school members were able to donate through boxes in their homerooms. Elementary and Secondary students brought close to 1,000 donations! FFA members of the food drive committee were able to bring the donations straight to Amy’s food pantry on December 1st. A big thank you to everyone who donated!

Rock’n Light Show

Rockford FFA’s first Rock’n Light Show was held on December 9th at the Holiday Stroll in downtown Rockford. We had a great turn out with 5 different displays and we raised $716.03 to send care packages to troops overseas! It was cold and windy but we weathered the storm! Thank you so much to everyone who set up a display, visited, and donated money! Here’s to making next year bigger and better!!

Toys 4 Tots Shopping

Every year the Rockford FFA joins up with the North Iowa Toys for Tots crew top shop for toys for their yearly distribution. We were able to shop for nearly $5000 worth of toys to give back to North Iowa! Our focus was on Teens and we got a lot of great things!
